Beclomethasone is a potent corticosteroid. After topical application it produces anti- inflammatory and vasoconstrictor effects and is used for reducing the inflammation of the skin. The antiinflammatory action of beclomethasone is because it controls the biosynthesis of prostaglandin and leukotrienes, the potent mediators of inflammation.
Clotrimazole inhibits the fungal cell wall synthesis by interfering action of enzyme 14-α demethylase.
Gentamicin is a broad spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic. It works by binding to the bacterial 30s ribosomal subunit, causing misreading of t-RNA and inhibits the bacterial protein synthesis.
