Each chewable tablet contains:
Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex eq. to elemental iron 100 mg
Folic Acid BP 1 mg

Pregnancy: Category A
Storage: Store tablets at room temperature protected from light and heat; Keep out of reach of children.
Missed dose: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose; Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Pharmacotherapeutic Group: Haematinic agent; Supplements
Iron: Iron is essential for the production of red blood cells (a process known as haematopoiesis). It is the chief component of haemoglobin (that is the pigment of the red blood cells) which facilitates the transport of oxygen throughout the body and carbon dioxide to lungs.
Folic acid: Folic acid is necessary for the normal production and maturation of red blood cells. It is also necessary for the production and maintenance of new cells, for DNA synthesis and RNA synthesis.
Iron deficiency anemia; Pregnancy and Lactation
The dose of POLYMAX is given once daily.
Hypersensitivity, intolerance to iron and overloading of iron in body; Patients receiving repeated blood transfusion; Chronic polyarthritis, bronchial asthma, hyperparathyroidism.
Allergy; Hepatic and liver insufficiency.
ADVERSE DRUG REACTIONS
GI irritation, epigastric pain, stomach cramping, constipation, nausea, vomiting, dark stool, teeth staining
Concurrent use with psychotropic drug may worsen constipation.
POLYMAX: Each box contains 10 strip packs of 10 tablets per strip
